Here’s to the crazy ones

I have zero respect for the status quo.
Why?
It’s not because I’m purposefully inflammatory.
I refuse to accept the status quo because doing so limits your greatness.
Like a speed-limiting governor on a hot rod, blindly accepting default “rules” and norms will keep you in the slow lane…when you’re a freakin’ race car.
Look around you — you’re surrounded by robots.
It’s not their fault, but do you see how much they limit you?
This is why I love what Steve Jobs said in this famous 1997 Apple commercial about the “crazy ones”:
To create something magical (a career, a business, a life), you have to be crazy.
“Crazy” means committing to and immersing yourself in your dream life.
It means challenging “rules” and pushing boundaries.
Listen, every week I speak with people who:
- Were once excited by “default” career/life path, but now it terrifies them
- Are desperate to show the world what they’re capable of
- Feel trapped, like they can’t move or breathe
- Feel alone — a complete outsider
- Sense their inner flame is dying
Very few people have the guts to admit these feelings.
But I honor them. I advocate for them.
Because they’re right on the edge of “crazy.”
And it’s the crazy ones who break through and create something magical.
